Join us for a relaxed, joyful rehearsal where everyone—from nervous first-timers to confident singers—is welcomed with a smile; there’s no audition, just a chance to sing, learn new music, and grow together in a supportive atmosphere. Expect encouragement, gentle warm-ups, and lots of fun as we shape harmonies and build your singing skills, plus plenty of opportunities to chat and make friends over tea, coffee and biscuits during the break. Whether you’re here to try something new or to deepen your experience, you’ll find support, laughter, and a warm community ready to sing with you.

No auditions
We’d love you to join us, and don't worry if you're nervous - there are no auditions! Whether you want to join us straight away or prefer to come along to watch a rehearsal and see if it's for you, feel free to reach out. You can join at any time.
Weekly rehearsals
We meet in Wickford each Tuesday at 7pm, and Althorne each Thursday at 1pm and 7pm. You can choose whichever day & time suits you best For updates on rehearsal dates, bookmark this page. We rehearse year-round, but even if we take break, many members meet up socially.
No joining fee
We don't charge a joining fee and don't ask for any up-front term fees. All we ask is a small donation of £5 to cover the cost of a folder and all the music you'll need. After that, we ask for a donation of £5 (Althorne) or £7 (Wickford) per rehearsal (pay as you go) to cover our hall hire.

Joining our choir is simple! You can sign up by filling in the form above. Or, just email sing@everyvoicechoir.co.uk. We welcome singers of all levels, and auditions are not required.
We welcome singers of all ages, from nine to ninety-nine. Everyone in the community can find a place with us! We also run a children’s choir for the very youngest in our community. Children from nine are welcome to attend our main choirs but under 18s must be accompanied at rehearsals by an adult.
Rehearsals take place in Wickford every Tuesday from 7.00pm – 9.00pm, Althorne each Thursday afternoon (1.00pm-3.00pm) and evening (7.00pm-9.00pm). You only need to attend one of these rehearsal per week, but you are welcome at all sessions. We rehearse most weeks throughout the year. Check the calendar above for details of rehearsal dates.
There is no joining fee, and we do not ask for payment up-front. We have a small rehearsal fee (pay as you go) to support choir activities and to cover the cost of rehearsal space. Fees are currently £7.00 (Wickford) and £5.00 (Althorne). If you wish you attend both sessions (afternoon and evening) in Althorne, we ask that you pay an additional £2.00 (total £7.00 for both sessions). If you normally attend rehearsals in Wickford, but choose to attend an additional rehearsal in Althorne (and vice versa), your extra rehearsal is free.
