Here are some common questions about our choir and its activities. Feel free to explore!
Joining our choir is simple! You can find out more on our Rehearsals page. We welcome singers of all levels, and auditions are not required.
We welcome singers of all ages, from nine to ninety-nine. Everyone in the community can find a place with us! We also run a children’s choir for the very youngest in our community. Children are welcome to attend our main choirs but under 18s must be accompanied at rehearsals by an adult.
Rehearsals take place in Wickford every Tuesday from 7.00 PM – 9.00pm. We also occasionally have Saturday sessions for special events.
We do have a small rehearsal fee (pay as you go) to support choir activities and to cover the cost of rehearsal space. Fees are currently £7.00 (Wickford) and £5.00 (Althorne). If you wish you attend both sessions (afternoon and evening) in Althorne, we ask that you pay an additional £2.00 (total £7.00 for both sessions). If you normally attend rehearsals in Wickford, but choose to attend an additional rehearsal in Althorne (and vice versa), your extra rehearsal is free.
